Johnston Inc. is a licensed and insured Class A General Contractor in the state of Virginia.
Company History:
- 1953 – Robert L. "Bob" Johnston began building homes and later that year partnered with his brother, Phonsie E. Johnston.
- 1964 – R.L. Johnston Inc. was officially established as a corporation in the state of Virginia.
- 1990 – Phonsie E. Johnston passed away in April.
- 1994 – Thomas E. "Tiny" Johnston became president of R.L. Johnston Inc.
- 2011 – Joshua T. Johnston took the reigns as the third-generation president of the 60-year-old company.

Joshua T. Johnston is the sole owner and president of R.L. Johnston Inc., bringing over 30 years of hands-on construction experience to the company. Having grown up immersed in the construction industry with his father, Tiny Johnston, Josh has served in every role within RLJ, gaining comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of the business

He currently oversees all daily operations, including estimating and project management, ensuring the company maintains its high standards of quality and professionalism.

She has a long-standing connection to R.L. Johnston, having grown up around the company with her grandfather, Tiny Johnston, and her uncle, Josh Johnston.
